This is a little tongue-in-cheek prologue article for my new Zombie Survival series starting soon Now if Hollywood has taught us anything, its some basic knowledge about surviving those pesky zombies. As Hollywood likes to assume everyone’s dumb they make everything in films really quite obvious, but real life isn’t like that. So how’d you […]
Today I thought I’d take part in my first weekend challenge that is set at www.BlenderArtists.org. Unfortunately I quickly realised that I’m very busy this weekend… so instead of having the 3-4 days to create a scene / object, I only had this evening to do the whole thing. After 6 hours work I’m rather […]
Great alien film, uniquely directed. Surpreme acting by Sharlto Copley as his body becomes the number one asset to the worlds biggest arms dealer. Its definitely worth a watch, whether you’re into aliens/sci-fi or not, although some of the scenes are probably not for the faint hearted as they do contain quite a bit of gore and nastyness.
Science fiction has got to be my favourite genre for films and books; it allows for such a great diversity and scope, without people just instantly labelling it as ‘unrealistic’. Unfortunately people hear ‘sci-fi’ and think stereotypically of the Star Trek series, or the pile of Star Wars movies, when in reality there is so much more […]
Brilliant James Bond film, showing the true grit of a British 00 agent. Less cheese and more action than most of the previous Bonds. Daniel Craig really relaunches the Bond series with his first epic performance as the 007. Every film collection should contain this title.
As I ask for your email addresses in my blog response form, I thought I’d write a little about what I do with them. Although more importantly is what I don’t do with them. When you enter your email address in the form I don’t actually save it, not anywhere. So it wont be shown […]
Great season finale to The Walking Dead. The survivors realise that the mauling hoards of undead are no longer their only source of danger. Hope can be taken as quickly as it was given
Wildfire, a brilliant penultimate episode to The Walking Dead. The survivors leave camp to find the CCC but we also find that someone was actually bitten (I had a feeling someone would have). With some people still fired up from the night fighting, Jim’s life is already in the balance without even considering the infection killing him.
Nothing beats a modern made Western, especially when it has Russel Crowe AND Christian Bale in it! How can 3:10 to Yuma be anything but a good movie? Dan Evans (Bale) is a family man running a cattle ranch with a bleak future, the farm and its land is withering away to nothing and soon […]
As I continue to build this site, the latest component I’ve been working on is for people to be able to use their RSS/XML burner to follow any new posts I decide are worthy to publish to the world. So quickly knocking up an RSS feed that tracks the 20 latest posts, I decide to […]
