3G: Gateway Generation Games

As I’m someone who is stuck in front of a computer screen for 10+ hours a day, I do enjoy sociable games that are within the physical realm, back in the days these were called board games and didnt involve controllers or DVD players to take part in.

Anyway a good friend recently asked 4 of us to run a small games night at the church we all go to, (for a social group called Gateway Generation), needless to say there were just under 20 people there and everyone seemed to have a good time until we all dispersed in the early hours of the morning.

Various strategic games were played, from Carcassonne to Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rica to Lord of the Rings Risk, washed down with a heathy diabetic diet of coke and home made yummy goey chocolately things. We purposely don’t play games that are high on luck/chance, or the most common games such as monopoly or cluedo.
